Meet Nora

Nora pairs the latest software and data engineering methods from tech companies with value investing principles for resourceful, high return-on-investment transformation for the benefit of all stakeholders. She is currently leading a global team of software engineers to build feedback loops around AI agents in an AI-native start-up.

Nora has successfully delivered projects in both public and private markets, and brings in-depth knowledge of equity, fixed-income and derivatives markets. She hosted cross-functional workshops in strategic transformation programmes such as the BlackRock Aladdin implementation at Royal London Asset Management, emphasising strong collaboration. As a former financial analyst at Morgan Stanley turned technical business analyst, she is adept at making tacit knowledge explicit.

Nora is fluent in English, German, French and Hungarian, and conversational in Spanish.

Meet Mathieu

Mathieu is a highly experienced software engineer with over ten years of experience spanning cybersecurity and data science. He completed an MSc in Financial Mathematics at Queen Mary University of London in June 2026, where his dissertation applied statistical modelling and machine learning to high-frequency trading data. In September 2026, he will begin a part-time PhD in Mathematical Sciences at the same university, focusing on AI and machine learning for financial market prediction.

Mathieu specialises in software engineering for data-intensive applications, machine learning, and agentic AI. Since joining Add Velocity in November 2025, he has engineered a generative AI sentiment analysis platform for investment decision-making, designed the architecture of a real-time investment performance reporting platform, and advised on secure, automated agentic workflows for fixed-income markets.

Previously, as a cybersecurity engineer, Mathieu developed software protection technologies to secure mobile and desktop applications against reverse engineering and data leakage for customers including JPMorgan Chase and Dolby.

Mathieu is fluent in English and French, with conversational proficiency in Dutch.

Meet Samyak

Samyak is a back-end engineer with a track record of building and scaling data-intensive systems for both fast-moving startups and established financial infrastructure providers. He holds an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Queen Mary University of London, graduating with distinction, and completed an AI & Deep Learning Fellowship at Nebius Academy, alongside a Bachelor's in Geomatics Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

As a backend engineer at an AI-powered B2B sales-enablement startup, he built the platform's backend, integrating data from seven-plus sources — including HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Drive and SharePoint — into a unified store with vector search for semantic retrieval, and optimised asynchronous job processing with Bull Queue and Redis to improve throughput and resilience, work that contributed to the company's seed round.

Earlier, as a software engineer at a mobile-banking technology provider, Samyak worked within a twelve-engineer team migrating a core mobile-banking backend from GlassFish 5 to Spring Boot, deployed live across fifteen-plus partner banks. He handled ISO 8583 financial transaction processing via JPOS for high-volume payment flows, reduced average response times by around 20% on high-traffic endpoints through Redis caching, and implemented HMAC/PKI security while running Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and maintaining quality with SonarQube and peer code review.

Meet Muhammad

Muhammad is a software engineer with a strong foundation in full-stack development and a growing specialisation in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and intelligent automation. He brings hands-on expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js), enabling him to architect and build scalable, high-performance web applications with clean, maintainable code, rooted in strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and database management.

His technical range extends into the rapidly evolving space of large language models and AI-assisted software engineering, where he actively leverages tools such as Cursor, Antigravity, and Kiro to accelerate development cycles, elevate code quality, and stay ahead in AI-augmented engineering practices. He has also built strong capabilities in intelligent workflow automation, designing and deploying AI-integrated pipelines using platforms like n8n and Make to connect systems, tools, and data sources without sacrificing performance or reliability.

Muhammad is consistently exploring emerging technologies and integrating them into practical, high-impact solutions that push the boundaries of what modern software can do.
